Summary: Toted as being one of the most remote hotels in SL the hotel did not disappoint. Fabulous location and well run for such a remote site. You certainly got a sense of the rainforest by the time you got there. Our container was comfortable and the bar and dinning rooms spacious. As vegetarians we were a little bored with curry and rice yet again but it was nice not to have to face another buffet dinner as dinner was served to you. My only qualm was that it took an hour 15 mins to cover the final 8.8km in a normal (sedan) car which really isn’t suitable for such a narrow and precipitous drive up. I emailed the hotel through their contact form a few days earlier to see if we cld arrange a Jeep transfer but got no response. Our driver phoned the day before and was told no such facility was available and the drive up wld be fine. It wasn’t and it was stressful. We got out of the car twice as it failed to gain traction on loose stones. And then on arrival found out there was a jeep facility. So my advice or to check this option out when booking. Despite this we enjoyed our stay once we regained our composure!
