Summary: Our room was a good size, with a good sized bathroom and a huge shower, something you don't always find! Plus there were big bottles of shampoo and shower gel - again not something you always find. Towels were on the small side, but they were fresh each day. Tea, coffee and milk was also replenished each day, and our room was tidied - one small issue was there was no plug for the kettle within reach of the kettle's cord. Not a massive issue when you can plug it in behind the bedside table. Wifi was available throughout the building, which was good and details were available downstairs. There was also a sheet detailing transport links into Liverpool and back, which was also useful if you don't know your way around, plus you can borrow the hotel's Metro cards and top them up in a nearby shop - another helpful little service! Breakfast was good - juice, milk, toast and butter brought to your table, and you help yourself to cereal and coffee. If you wanted a cooked breakfast, you could go for double full English, single full English, vegetarian option, or even simple scrambled eggs on toast. Jam or marmalade was also offered - I asked for apricot and they had some! Finally, Dave, Hayley and mum were all absolutely lovely - so welcoming and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. There's a little sign on the reception desk saying "Come as strangers, leave as friends" - that's so true here. We'll definitely be back!
