Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Lisa and Mick were perfect hosts, very helpful and accommodating. They sent a welcome pack with directions and information on the park that was very detailed. The property was spotless and very homely. They had everything you would need in the kitchen to make a full meal. Knives were sharp, plenty dishes, trays and utensils. Which was genuinely fantastic given other holiday homes we have stayed in. The beds and seating areas were very comfortable, showers in the caravan were also great (good pressure) They definitely thought of everything. A very thoughtful welcome basket was also gifted to us on arrival that was enjoyed by the whole family.defintely feel they went the extra mile and I would recommend them a hundred times over. The only thing I did miss was outdoor furniture in the nice weather. This may have been an oversight as i didnt ask the hosts if they had any somewhere around the caravan in storage. But didnt effect our stay was a lovely break away with family. The staff at the bars and entertainment were very helpful and happy. We also visited the east links family park in dunbar while we were there and it was absolutely fantastic. We found out about that from flyer Lisa and mick had left in caravan for guests.

Negative: The caravan park itself was a very nice park. The entertainment was fantastic and we met so many lovely people that owned caravans on site. I did find that a lot of machines at the amusements weren't working, pool tables werent fixed and change machines were out of order however the kids still managed to enjoy what was there and we came back with many toys, the tickets the won from the machines they played were very reasonable to change for prizes compared to bigger caravan parks were you need to have thousands of tickets for something as little as a bouncy ball. To be fair to thurston manor the staff said that they had someone coming out to fix the pool tables and we were only there for 3 days.

Summary: Would visit again and again. Fantastic hosts
