Positive: Met by the owner and her dog who is very welcoming! There is plenty of parking outside the property. The pool was refreshing after a long drive and asking for extra towels was no trouble. The property is in a lovely quiet location yet in close proximity to the main road. I asked for a kettle in the room which, was provided on entry. We asked for the earlier breakfast than normal as we were traveling through and needed to get on the road early. This was no trouble as all. The breakfast was basic but the bread, jam and yogurt was all homemade, which was really refreshing and a nice touch. Loved all the unique furniture and trinkets. Loved the large family room with 3 different aspect windows so plenty of fresh air through the room.

Negative: The hotel is homely but looking a bit tired, I suppose this is after a long, hot season. Attention to detail in finishing of the decor required. But in saying this, it doesn't take away from the relaxed feel.
