The Space:
Jacaranda Mews sits in the quaint, rural town of Samford valley, among a 5000 sqm, fully fenced private property with direct access to horse trails along the South Pine River and freshly planted gardens embellishing the atmosphere, refreshing you as you rest. Along the scenic drive to the getaway or from the stay, you can make your own adventure around with local attractions such as Mount Coot Tha, Mount Glorious, Mount Nebo and Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre.

It's a comfortable, well-equipped tiny home with comfortable and well-furnished guest rooms, wide public spaces, and comfortable seating areas. Easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities included.

The bathroom follows ecologically sustainable principles, including an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers). It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water by using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and the surrounding area. Guests are restricted to access the barn or main house.

NOTICE TO ALL GUESTS: There is a steep embankment around 60 meters away from the house which is off-limits, as it could be slippery

The Neighborhood:
Jacaranda Mews is a 40 minute drive from Brisbane, in the rural locality of Samford Valley. This getaway is an adventure through and throughout with an abundance of walking and cycling trails, and a short drive from many nature scenic areas and regions that Queensland has to offer.

Our local recommendations:

-Mount Coot Tha is the closest mountain to the Brisbane CBD offering a panoramic view of the city, the perfect spot for a picnic, bushwalking and mountain biking.
-Mount Glorious is blessed with lush rainforests, a world class sculpture garden and its own Mount Glorious cafe where you can get a cuppa while breathing in the crisp rainforest air.
-Mount Nebo has many bushwalking trails such as Boombana Walk, Pitta Circuit and views of the west if you hike up through pockets of dry rainforests to Jollys Lookout.
-Walkabout Creek Discovery Centre showcases some of the incredible biodiversity of Queensland where you can Encounter native animals, enjoy a walk or bike ride, and splash out in the water at this one-stop nature-play zone.

Getting Around:
By car:

- From Brisbane CBD, it’s a 35 minute (26 kms) drive.
- The stay is 3 kms to Samford Village
- Reachable by both 2WD and 4WD.

By public transport:

- Guests can catch a train to Ferny Grove Train station and catch an uber / taxi from there to the tiny house.

- Pets are not allowed
- Gas BBQ Grill is available
- No smoking allowed on the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- There are 2 bicycles free to use to get around the property
- Please be advised that we have livestock (and noise) on our property
- Please expect limited connectivity as the tiny house is set in a rural locality
- Keep a safe distance from pets and farm animals as they are easily agitated
- Don’t forget to close the windows and lock doors when leaving the tiny house/ property
- Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and electronics (e.g., especially chargers)
- Mobile reception is weak for Vodafone; No signal for 2degrees, Spark, Telstra and Optus
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

Important note:

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our cassette toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
