Positive: This home would have to be the most special guest home in town! The owner is an architect and has built and designed this home from the grounds of the mountain (literally), taking details and design Inspo from Old Kakopetria to bring us visitors a local experience. Once you make your way up, you will be welcomed by the charm of the dangly ripe grapes and soft shadows of the vine leaves. It will be hard not to notice the elegant windows and doors which open up all around the house giving us visitors uninterrupted views of the mountains. Irene has also stocked the home with all your needs, from Cypriot coffees for the morning to liqueur for the evenings that will ensure you start your day strong and end your day relaxed. As a family, of four, we were very delighted to explore Kakopetria in the day time, and come home to a Kakopetrian home, we really experienced this village both awake and asleep. Thank you Irene.
Negative: Not that it was a big deal, but it was the unexpected steep driveway but we got used to it. Also the hot water switch needs to be turned on so you are not waiting for warm shower for too long. But these are not big problems.
