Summary: Dumbleton Hall has undergone a huge multi-million pound refurbishment, and it shows. The finish combines beautiful finishes, sumptuous fabrics and age-worn character features which have been tastefully restored. The staff were all extremely polite and attentive, with the exception of one evening when we were left waiting to order drinks. The drinks were delivered and by way of an apology they were on the house. Things happen in any business but I do feel it's how these things are handled which matter. The bedroom we stayed in was very comfortable but we were surprised there was no mirror in the bedroom at all. I would've liked to have sat down in the room to get ready for the evening but had to use the bathroom, which is probably just an oversight and hopefully will be rectified. The addition of spa facilities would be welcome and befitting of such a gorgeous location. It is a bit off the beaten track and I'm sure a spa would only add to the appeal, along with offering weddings as it is ideal for that too. We will be back.
