Positive: My host, Amilcar, was sadly not in the region during my stay. However, he was extremely responsive, and we exchanged several messages before, during, and even after my stay to ensure that everything was satisfactory. He wanted to make sure that my experience was good. Although he was not in town to greet me, someone else met me at the property to give me the keys, show me around, and answer any immediate questions I had. That personal contact is valuable to me, especially when arriving in an unfamiliar location. The apartment was very spacious, the bed was comfortable and warm (in the winter), and most of the essentials were available in the kitchen. I had a lovely walk to the grocery store in Góis to get a few items for dinner, and there are a number of restaurants and cafés around there. If you aren't up for the walk, it's probably a 5-minute drive.
Negative: It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the apartment, since the closest café is not very close. That's honestly the only minor suggestion. I sorted this out by getting instant coffee to use with the available kettle. There weren't many options wrt TV channels; however, it's a beautiful part of the country, so you probably don't need TV that much. The internet wasn't working properly when I was there, which may or may not be addressable. That said, I had 5G on my phone and was fine. It would be nice to have an updated TV that I could have cast content to -- but again, this wasn't a big deal since there's so much natural beauty around. Honestly, the negatives are very minor, and I would gladly stay here again.
