Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The shower was amazing. But wish we had a cabin rather than the barn so we had headroom. The host and hostess were a lovely couple.

Negative: Booked the barn thinking it would have the extra touches, yes we had a cooker and hob but nowhere to sit and eat as the table was a small collapsable laptop table for one. Ate my breakfast on the bottom stair of the staircase. A small preloved table would fit nicely around the corner. No bedside tables (no furniture at all in bedroom apart from a freestanding hanging rail and small folding chair) so no lamp for when I got up at 3am to go to the toilet. The bed is in the apex of loft so had to army crawl to the stairs so I didn’t knock myself out in pitch darkness. One tiny mirror in the bathroom so when getting ready to go out you have to guess if you look ok. Thankfully my sister in law brought a full length mirror which we left behind for them. The barn is road side which was noisy throughout the night so have come home very tired.
