Situated on the west side of Whitby, which boasts the idyllic beach stretching to Sandsend, Sunnyside is just beside a popular street which has many independent shops and bars, including a famous bakery. There is also a micro pub which serves the locally distilled Whitby Gin, as well as local beers, ales and ciders to enjoy.

Stepping inside, the snug living room at the front of the cottage has an electric fire with comfortable seating for five, plus a characterful rocking chair. Photographic villages and tranquil bays are dotted along the coast.

Take the 199 steps to Whitby Abbey, which is said to be the inspiration behind Bram Stoker’s novel, Dracula, or explore the myriad of curio shops. Famous for its fish and chips, Whitby has many award-winning seafood restaurants, as well as trendy bars along the harbour side.
