Positive: The location and the veiws are fantastic. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was good with a decent shower.

Negative: The "drop-off" is in the corner of a field on a campsite , there is an hour given in the accomadation website paperwork , the campsite office stated 15 minutes! The accommodation is down a flight of unlit steep stone steps , along a dirt track and over a broken concrete apron (covered themselves with a torch being needed). The key safe is at ankle level!! The parking permit supplied by the accommodation is a year out of date. Looking on the salt house cottages website for clarity regarding the parking permit the mobile number directs you to the owner from 5 years ago!! Who we called he was not happy. The vehicle has to be parked over 250 metres from the accommodation on an unlit track through a padlocked gate, just off the port eynon beach car park. We checked our vehicle every night before going to bed , then again in the morning for damage or parking charges! The accommodation was okay a little tired in places; it is in need of a rub down and a refurbishment on the inside and out. Weeds growing through outside, copings needing fixing, algae washed off and painting to the exterior. Paint peeling from the interior walls in most rooms. The small gate needs repairing or replacing. The patio/seating area to the side could do with a safety railing. There is a rip in the large foot stool. On the Tuesday 23rd of June 2026 some cushions were knocked off the banquette seating in the dining area, the window board beneath had dead flies all over them under the cushions. This was the same every day , a lot of flies in the property some fly "zappers" could help.
