…if you stayed before expect it to be even better your next visit. We spent the whole Spring putting in a ton of upgrades to make this amazing place even more magical. Including brand new fridge, gas range/griddle, washer/ 2 55 inch TV’s, a new dryer, arcade game, and dishwasher.

Not only does our amazing retreat sit on 5 private acres but it’s surrounded by hundreds of acres of beauty, and yet still only a short walk to all the action in downtown BV!
With no neighbors living nearby you’re free to bring your firewood and speaker and enjoy the outdoor fire pits (check for bans plz) or hottub and jam your favorite music without disturbing anyone!!
Why even consider a hotel or motel when you can gather your friends/family and pay about the same each night but enjoy a fully loaded home and private hottub under the stars directly in front of Mt. Princeton for less than $100 a person per night?

Did I mention yet there is a fully loaded game room and PlayStation 4 (12 games) for the kids (wink wink)? But wait, there’s more!… because we live here much of the year we also constantly adding new stuff and committing more attention and resources to professional design and serenity. In fact we JUST added a brand new full size Golden Tee / Bowling / Corn Hole arcade machine May 2023.
Our home sits on 5 acres surrounded by Colorado 14ers and open spaces. Every single thing in the home is only a couple years old max, plus the views from every window will take your breath away!
Watch for deer, antelope, horses, fox, coyotes, cattle, owls, and countless other birds of prey from each window. A nature lover’s dream vacation!
Allow me to elaborate on that famous game room….
Games galore! Ping pong, darts, foosball, ring toss, horseshoes, giant connect 4, board games, PlayStation 4, Golden Tee, bowling, etc. Everyone LOVES our game room, the wood burning stove that heats it, and our adorable barn themed full bath that accommodates it. Nearly every review mentions it.
Centrally located within just a short WALK to downtown by taking a beautiful trail from the driveway, or a 5 minute drive to active, charming, downtown Buena Vista with its many restaurants, shops, music, hiking, outdoor sports, and festivals. That’s right, it’s only a couple miles away and it is BUSTLING! (Slower in winter months and weekdays which can be nice).
Quick access to the Arkansas River…..kayaking, river rafting, fishing, hiking and mountain biking trails in every direction, etc.
Better yet, just a 10-15 minute drive to both world-class and Mt. Princeton Hot Springs and Cottonwood Hot Springs!
Or maybe you want to head to the drive-in movie theatre or golf course only 5 minutes away. Or hit the slopes at Monarch or Cooper each just 45 minutes with no traffic or lift lines!
Oh and let’s not forget the large FULLY stocked kitchen is a chef's dream. Every cooking utensil and organic spice is available to cook a gourmet meal for your whole group, no need to even leave! The highest quality and most comfortable furnishings we could buy. From the couches, the mattresses, the dining seats, and the endless outdoor seating, we spared no expense.
Sleeps up to 8 guests in 3 large bedrooms + a large flex queen bedroom / tv room. 6 Total Queen Beds (2 adult queen bunks) fit large groups very easily. Did I mention we provide a music room complete with piano, guitar, and karaoke machine? Non stop fun if you’re a musical family. :)
Your vacation home comes with a brand new hot tub, RoKu TV’s includes Netflix, YouTube TV, new PlayStation 4 + the 10 best games…..and Amazon Prime (paid movies not included).
Lounge by the indoor fireplace or outdoor fire pit. (Firewood not included and local fire restrictions strictly enforced by state/county).
By the way...Buena Vista was recently named the #1 town in the Rocky Mountains by Elevation Outdoors Magazine! This was no surprise. The area is safe, and an outdoor enthusiasts dream come true. Enjoy all that Heaven on earth has to offer.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
1) Neighboring quarry sometimes causes ambient noise outside which has never been an issue for us or others so far. Driving in it appears the quarry will impact the views, however it does not. It is difficult to hear the noise when inside and seldom do we hear it outside. If it occurs it’s only during business hours. Be sure to read all reviews to get others' points of view on this.
2a) We comply with all County and CDC guidelines for cleaning and sterilization. PPE masks, gloves, or sanitization products are available upon request.
2b) We have the hottub professionally cleaned every week and value it staying in pristine condition for everyone. We ask that everybody who uses the tub rinse off first and always keep it clean.
3) This property is so nice that you may not want to leave.

Please use all games, amenities, hot-tub, bunk beds, fire places, and property grounds, etc with caution and at your own risk. External cameras are used on premises to ensure safety.
DUE TO STRICT COUNTY AND INSURANCE REGULATIONS THERE ARE NO OUTSIDE VISITORS OR GUESTS ALLOWED ON PREMISES DURING YOUR STAY AT ANY TIME. ANY UNAPPROVED GUESTS, SMOKING, AND/OR PETS ON PREMISES WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE REMOVAL AND LOSS OF FULL DEPOSIT.
From time to time I may have the RV on a hidden / secluded part of the land about an acre from the home. I also have the grounds carefully maintained so myself or other professionals periodically do routine work outdoors and grounds maintenance to keep the property pristine for your visit. This includes yard work, snow and garbage removal, sprinkler servicing, deliveries, hot tub cleaning and servicing, etc. While I try my best to give advanced notice these routine maintenance tasks may take place without a heads up. Nobody is permitted to enter the home without your approval or advanced warning during your reserved visit.
NO THIRD PARTY BOOKINGS AND PRIMARY GUEST MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OLD. ABSOLUTELY NO OUTSIDE VISITORS, EVENTS, PARTIES OR PETS. VIOLATIONS WILL LEAD TO IMMEDIATE CANCELLATION WITH NO REFUNDS. Insurance guidelines also now require us to collect a photocopy or photograph of IDs from the adults staying prior to your stay which are submitted if there is a claim. We have never had a claim and all IDs have been discarded immediately following every reservation thus far.
Please know that this is my primary home, not a rental that is simply set and forgotten. Everything is meticulously cared for so that you and I have the best experience possible. If you have any intentions of breaking these very strict insurance and county rules please save us both the embarrassment and book somewhere else. If you ask for exceptions I will have the uncomfortable responsibility to respond ‘no’.
As much as your stay is appreciated it’s not worth losing the permit or insurance for and I will have no choice but to have your entire group removed if you don’t respect the rules. If you are unclear about the rules please ask before booking. Thank you so much for understanding.
