Looking for a conveniently-located, family-friendly, clean home for your vacation? 2344 sq ft modern farmhouse (in the mountains!) w/shiplapped walls & stunning VIEWS and private access to the Lyons Dam Trail. ALL NEW furnishings as of March 2020 . CLEAN, comfortable & aesthetically pleasing! Everything you need to have FUN and build MEMORIES with your friends & fam! We have central A/C (super rare in this area), central heat and a charming gas fireplace. We are on 1/2 acre so you truly feel like you are in nature rather than crammed into a neighborhood like the majority of Sonora Pass Rentals! We are also tucked away just off the highway, so you can zip up to Pinecrest or Dodge Ridge without having to drive for miles to get out of a neighborhood deep in the mountain! Need to distance learn or work while on vacation? We have lightning fast internet, so come "work from home" at The Grand View!!
However... What sets our home apart from all others in Twain Harte is the GRAND VIEW!!! Off the back deck is a sumptuous view of the Stanislaus River Canyon (forest valley) with tens of thousands of trees that stretch on for hundreds of miles! We invite you to come watch a sunset here... it will take your breath away!
We also have a super fun upstairs Game Room for kids and adults alike: A Simpsons Arcade cabinet for two players with all of your favorite classic games (1000 of them!) and a smaller Ninja Turtle Cabinet that can accommodate four players! We also have TONS of board games for you to enjoy!! Close the door and the kids are in their own space, while the adults enjoy their space: The Pantry Bar. The Pantry Bar is a pantry... that was converted into a Bar with a stunning custom made wood countertop that spills into the front Lounge. The Lounge has a TV and Dart Board - ready for hours of gameplay!
And in the morning - Be sure to enjoy your coffee out on the back deck where you'll absorb all the fresh mountain air and your eyes will get lost in the valley of trees! Did I mention, we include the coffee? (We have both Keurig pods and ground coffee for you to choose from!) Just one of the many little “extras” provided to our guests to make your stay with us all the more special.
You and your family have so many activities to choose from at The Grand View: darts, arcade games, basketball, football, cornhole, horse shoes, sitting by the firepit, forest gazing on the back deck, bbq-ing, watching tv, hanging out at the Pantry Bar... or heading out to Pinecrest to fish/swim/boat, hiking nearby trails, ice skating in Long Barn, wine tasting and more!!!!!

LAYOUT:
Downstairs: Kitchen, Great Room, Pantry Bar & Lounge, Half bath, and Master bedroom with King bed and full bath on 1st floor as well as one car garage for your use!
Upstairs: One bedroom with King Bed, Full Bathroom in Hallway, Game Room with two arcade machines, TV and Full futon, and Bunk Room with six twin beds (3 bunks!)
Outdoor areas: BBQ (propane provided), fire-pit (propane provided), cornhole, basketball, horseshoes, large circle driveway, beautiful deck
WHAT WE PROVIDE:
All linens, laundry detergent/bleach/dryer sheets, dishwasher detergent/dish soap+a new sponge for each guest, one roll of new toilet paper per bathroom per night of your stay, shampoo/conditioner, one garbage bag per night of your stay, propane for the firefit & propane for the BBQ. Front yard/backyard and house! Please DO NOT go onto the neighbors property. There is a very cool pond, but admire it from afar ONLY.

There are tons of great hiking trails nearby. Three amazing trails can be accessed within 1-2 miles of our cabin:
1) Lyons Dam - 10.4 miles (easy trail) - entry point 1/2 mi drive from our home!
2) Twain Harte Old Railroad Grade - 4.7 miles (moderate trail)
3) Columbia Ditch Trail - 5.3 miles (easy trail)
Also - lots of other great things to do:
-Chicken Ranch Casino and Black Oak Casino (8.3 miles south)
-Pinecrest Lake (15.5 miles north)
-Iceskating in Long Barn (5.1 miles north)
-Wine tasting at Gianelli Vineyards ( 16 miles south)
....just to name a few!
