The street and neighborhood are quiet and residential, lined with well-maintained homes from the Victorian and Edwardian eras.
Terrace View is just blocks away from several neighborhoods with distinct characters. The quickly changing Divisadero shopping district is just down the hill, leading to NOPA, the North-of-the-Panhandle neighborhood. The Haight-Ashbury is just to the west, and the Lower Haight to the east. Each offers interesting shops, restaurants and neighborhood character.
