Almerimar is one of Spain's best kept secrets, outstandingly beautiful and has a sub-tropical climate.
The apartment is located in the Portofino complex, the most wanted complex of Almerimar with an outdoor pool on the first floor. The resort is peaceful, relaxing and immaculately kept.
The Resort is built around the harbour that hosts many Sea-food restaurants, Chinese, Italian an good Spanish cuisine. Cafe Bars, Tapas Bars all situated in lovely surroundings overlooking the harbour.
👉 the apartment is situated JUST IN THE CENTRE of Almerimar facing the Sea & Marina, near the golfcourse (100m), the supermarket at 20m, restaurants & tapa bars at 50m.
Golf is a great attraction in the area and the PORTO FINO Residence is situated a stone throw away from the 27 holes top class Golf Course designed by Gary Player. On a surface of approx 802,000 square metres, featuring several water holes and beautiful landscape and lakes that will challenge any experienced golfer.
The apartment has been stylishly designed and furnished to a very high standard with no expense spared. The property is fully air-conditioned, modern and has everything needed for a perfect self-catering holiday.
The large secure swimming pool with lifeguard (summer) for the use of residents is on the 1st floor and open from april to october.

The master bedroom has a large bed 160 x 190 with different pillows, it contains also a dressing with mirrors and a lot of storage place for clothing, shoes and luggage.

The kitchen is fully equipped with dish-washer, oven, micro-wave, fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, electric juicer, hand blender, electric food scale.
The living room contains a very comfortable L-sofa a 40 inch TV, DVD player and an extensible dining table.
The bathroom has a bath with integrated shower, towels are included.
On the terrace there are lounge beds and a dining table for 4 and a washing/drying machine.
Also available: beach towels, ironing board, iron, clothes horse & pins, trolley for grocery shopping.
A secured parking place under the building and directly accessible via the elevators is included in the rental price.
Upon request cleaning and ironing services are provided during your stay.
The apartment offers air conditioning and a cool ceiling fan. Marble flooring throughout. There is heating, carpets for added warmth in the evenings throughout the winter months.
Smoking is not allowed indoor but tolerated on the terrace.

Summary: We stayed in the apartment for a week in November. We arrived on a Saturday. CheckIn was easily beside that the local contact person doesn't speak English. The apartment is located in the centre of Almerimar, close to the harbour. While the apartment was clean and decently furnished, we were asking ourselves on which standard this can be considered luxurious as this was mentioned in the description. Some of the interiour and equipment has worn. On Sunday morning we figured out, that our food and drinks in the fridge were warm. Neither the fridge nor the freezer was working. It took until Tuesday afternoon (3 nights) until it was working again. We asked the host for compensation. After we asked for a second time, she replied that she will make an offer after we left! After our stay, she offered a refund of 50 Euros or 10% discount on the next booking, which we haven't take advantage off. I would expect that a experienced host will check an apartment before handing it over, if it hasn't rented in a while. Here ist a list of things that we noticed: - the bathroom has no ventilation or the fan is broken - the toilet was loose and tended to fall over - on most of the slide doors to the balcony the rolls are coroded what makes them hard to open, which already led to damages that has been fixed with duct tape - the boiler for the bathroom is located in the wardrobe in the main sleeping room, and the sound when it refills is very noticeable
