This awesome surfing themed beach rental is located steps to the sand and surf! Just cross the street and you're at the beach and one of the best surf spots in San Diego! This unit includes a garage for parking and is located above the garage so it's totally detached with no adjoining walls. We supply you with beach towels, beach chairs, and bikes for cruising the boardwalk! Outdoor shower for rinsing off. Ideally located next to the beach and 6 miles from the airport!
Janet & Scott are your hosts. We are a husband and wife team and we live nearby. We own and operate a highly rated vacation rental management business in San Diego.
We are available 7 am to 10 pm to answer questions during your stay.
Our storefront rental office is a mile away as well, so if you need anything feel free to stop by! If you have an early flight, you may stow your luggage at our office so you can go to lunch or hang out on the beach until check-in time. And if you have an afternoon flight on checkout day you may also stow luggage. Just coordinate these details with us and we are happy to accommodate. Please note, we charge a small nominal fee for luggage storage.

The best thing about the neighborhood is that there is so much within walking distance that you may not need a car. You could just take a taxi from the airport (6 miles away), get dropped off here and you're at the beach! We have local restaurants, trendy beach bars, excellent coffee spots, and breakfasts cafes all within a few short blocks. Sea World is just 3 miles away.
The location is the best spot of all of the Beach. It is on the south side of Santa Clara Place, which means a non commercial area. It is far enough (1 mile) north of the roller coaster area so it's very removed from the tourist noise. It is off of the main boulevard with friendly neighbors and a quiet homey atmosphere.
Recreational opportunities abound. This beach rental is a few minutes walking distance to Santa Clara point where there are numerous recreation activities and rentals available including: stand up paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, windsurfing, catamarans, sail boats, water ski boats, and even jet packs. There are group classes and private lessons available in all of these activities. What's more there are free yoga classes each day on the beach just two courts north.
It is equally centered between Belmont Park (the roller coaster area) and Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach, which are both 1 mile away, making this location accessible to the action if that's what you want.
There is a fantastic surf spot at the beach for beginner to advanced surfers and great for spectators as well. There are affordable surf lessons offered daily in the beach by our friends at Surfari Surf School. What's more, we can point you to all the best surf spots in San Diego County. And we have two world class board shapers who live on our block in case you want to get a new surf board while you are here.
We offer self-check in with a digital keypad to make your arrival as easy as possible.
Included with the rental is the use of 2 beach cruiser bikes, boogie boards, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and sand toys for the kids. Plus there is a rental shop just a 3 minute walk away that rents surfboards, wetsuits, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, etc. They have very affordable rates, plus we give you a 15% discount on all the rentals they have to offer after booking with us.
Garage parking for compact to standard sized cars. Oversized vehicles will have to park on the street.

It is positioned in the ♡ of the beach, a gorgeous beach community on a super narrow strip of land between the Pacific Ocean and the Bay. Walk in either direction (West or East) and you'll encounter pristine white beaches. Both sides have wide boardwalks for bicycling or walking. On the bay-side you'll enjoy a relaxing sail bay with a calm atmosphere, while on the ocean-side you'll enjoy ocean waves for surfing and a lively beach scene. Either way, you'll call it paradise. We simply call it home!
This upstairs apartment is completely detached and over the garage. It gets plenty of light and good air flow with the windows open. Additionally, it is supplied with a window AC unit, which is useful for the hot summer months.
There is a queen size bed. The bathroom has a spacious walk-in shower.
The kitchen includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave, blender, and a Keurig coffee maker. We supply you with all the cooking pans, dishes, and utensils you might need. There are the usual kitchen gadgets such as bottle openers and cork screws.
The flatscreen TV is equipped with Roku which includes Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and many other channel options available with your login credentials.
Remote working or remote learning couldn't be easier. We offer high speed cable WIFI, a small desk and charging cubes to keep you plugged in.

If you choose not to bring a car you will be totally fine here! Many guests come without a car and all have gotten around quite easily! The beach is a 2-minute walk away with restaurants, shops, and convenience stores all within walking distance.
It is less than a 10-15 minute walk to Belmont Park where there is a giant roller coaster, rides, restaurants, bars, and shops.
Uber/Lyft options are readily available for local transport at an affordable rate. If you've never used this service before download the phone app and you may find a discount code for first-time riders online.
There is also a bus stop a few yards away that will take you to Old Town in minutes. At Old Town there is a major transportation hub where you can transfer to any other bus line or transfer to the Trolley (San Diego's metro line) which will take you downtown.
Car Rental vs. Uber - The cost to Uber to downtown is way less expensive then to rent a daily car then pay $30+ to park not to mention spend 15+ minutes trying to find that parking spot which usually winds up being a 5 to 10 minute walk from your downtown destination. Uber usually cost $15 each way which of course will drop you off right in front.
Riding bikes along the boardwalk is usually the most scenic way to get around and take in the atmosphere. We supply communal bikes for the guests in our complex. We ask that you not take out more than 2 bikes at a time to leave bikes for the other guests. Should you need additional bikes there is a bike rental shop nearby that gives our guests a discount. They also rent surfboards, wetsuits, standup paddle boards and a lot of other fun beach equipment.
This rental is 400 square feet. It's an ideal space for 1-2 people. A couple with a child could work. For guests with infants or toddlers, we can supply you with a pack and play and high chair upon request.
You will have access to a BBQ and two patio areas that are shared with the 5 other units of the complex. The other units are vacation rentals so feel free to say hello and make friends with your fellow travelers if you encounter them!
You have access to a coin operated washer/dryer that is shared by the 6 units of the complex. (2 quarters per load.) Tenant access time is daily after 2 pm or before 10 am to allow the housekeepers to use them during the turnovers. If you'd rather have your laundry done for you there is a laundromat within walking distance that offers drop-off service at an affordable weight based fee. You can just drop it off in the morning and they will have it ready and neatly folded for you by the end of the day.
Want a private bonfire on the beach? We can connect you with a service that offers set up and take down, portable steel fire drum, roasting sticks, hot dogs, and s'mores.
Are you into yoga? There is free beach yoga daily just a 5 minute walk from the property. No yoga mats are required. Just bring beach towels and water and you are all set. (It's donation based so maybe bring some cash for the instructor. )
Want professional pictures on the beach? What better backdrop for a group shot than the stunning backdrop of the ocean or bay at sunset! We can help arrange for an affordable local portrait photographer to do a photo session of your family or group on the beach. Let us know in advance if you're interested and we can make connect you with the photographer during your stay.
The unit is thoroughly cleaned between each stay. However if you wish for a cleaning and change of linens during your stay we can arrange for the housekeeper to come for an additional charge of the standard cleaning fee. Please give us one day's notice so we can get this scheduled.
