Summary: The owner/manager was very friendly and welcoming showing us to our room and gave us an explanation on keys and a place to get a coffee. The pub itself was cosy and clean. Why we rated the room low was because the shower needed a good scrub as there was orange mold around the shower tray and black dirt also hairs on the screen and by the drain. The towels were clean but there was no complimentary shower gel/ shampoo. The bed was really squeaky and the pillows were more air than filling plus we were road side and was really noisy. The inn had lots of character and an old feel which we loved. We totally get that we only paid £70 for the night, but we felt that the attention to detail wasn't there. A couple of postives were the small fridge which was really useful and the free carpark at the rear.
