Summary: Everything was great until I was locked out of unit due to code unexpectedly expiring and was not able to get in touch with host and VRBO had no way of letting me into the unit as they were not able to reach host either. I spent 2 hrs after a very long day waiting in the dark to get access into the unit not knowing if I would be sleeping in the car or what. It was a very frustrating experience. VRBO did not have an emergency access code nor a second number on file for the host in case of situations like this. I was not offered compensation for the inconvenience and stress. I was finally able to reach host who remotely unlocked the unit. Such a simple task that VRBO should have been able to do immediately and did not or could not.
