With breathtaking views of the town and ocean, Villa Rostrum, located above Funchal in a premium tranquil residential area, is one of the largest villas in Madeira with great facilities, including an infinity outdoor pool, indoor plunge pool, games room with billiard table, superb barbecue area and outdoor dining and social area, surrounding garden with private corners and verandas with breathtaking views of Funchal and sea, and capacity for 12 people.
Within walking distance, you will find a local supermarket and café, and close by all the facilities you may need, including cafés, restaurants, a large branded supermarket and shops. Access to the expressway and Funchal is easy.
An elevator in the street level hall takes you to the villa level, and opens by the main front door.
As you enter the property you will find a central hall with staircase and the dining table. To the right is the lounge with panoramic views of the sea and the kitchen, both of which lead to the garden and barbecue area with outdoor dining, and to the indoor plunge pool at the rear.
To the left is the games room which leads to the front veranda and side garden and to the infinity pool with surrounding sun loungers, all of which offer panoramic views of Funchal and the sea. At the back is the swimming pool changing and bathroom, the fully equipped laundry and a ping pong table. Also on this wing is the ground floor bedroom, bathroom and guest toilet, as well as a lovely feature – a tea and coffee station that allows you to make light refreshments without having to go all the way to the main kitchen.
Upstairs is the master bedroom with dressing area, en-suite and L-shaped terrace, a second bedroom with private front terrace and a third bedroom with a private terrace, both of which share a family bathroom.
Within walking distance (600m) is a good sized supermarket, and a bar and restaurant (900m). Close by (1.5 Km) is the largest branded supermarket in Funchal next to a series of shops, bank and pharmacy. The largest shopping centre on the island is only 1.5 Km away.

Cleaning
Cleaning and linen change is provided every 7 days.

For health reasons, line for a baby cot is not provided and you should bring your own.
Booking Notes
The advertised prices are based on a 4-person occupancy and supplements apply should anyone join you for any length of time.
To secure your reservation we require a non-refundable deposit or the full amount if the reservation is made within 8 weeks prior to arrival. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival.
A security deposit of 500€ is required on arrival, payable with credit card prior to arrival.
The minimum stay is 07 nights.
Final details for check-in and driving instructions will be sent prior to your arrival. Please ensure you print and follow these.

Leaving the airport take the dual carriageway in the direction of Funchal (road known as the Via Rápida).
Leave the Via Rápida at exit number 9 to Cam. do Pilar/P. de Barcelos
Turn right up the hill and when you reach the roundabout take the first exit. This road is called Estrada Comandante Camacho de Freitas.
Take the second turning on your right into Rua Encosta Pico dos Barcelos.
Drive to the end of the road and Vila Luz is last but one house on your left, number 23
