First of all: the view is of the inner courtyard. This means you can't really hear the busy street. Only on Fridays and Saturdays does the restaurant next door play audible music until around 1am, so you should be prepared for that.
Otherwise only advantages:
The building is very secure and always locked. Munich is one of the safest cities in the world!
The windows can be completely darkened with roller shutters. When the shutters are open, the flat is very bright.
There is no fixed air conditioning system, as is the case in around 90% of all flats in Germany. As temperatures can reach 40 degrees in summer, you should close the shutters during the day. We have also installed a powerful air conditioning unit on castors in the flat for cooling. The exhaust air hose runs through the open window, which in turn is sealed by a separating apron. We provide detailed operating instructions when you move in.
The flat is also unique in other respects: surprisingly quiet when the window is open and totally silent when it is closed (exceptions are Friday and Saturday until around 1 a.m.). The flat faces the rear, so it is extremely quiet. It is a residential building with about 40 flats from the 50s. The flat is very soundproofed, even loud music is hardly noticed by neighbours. Nevertheless, we ask for your consideration. Please do not smoke, not even with an open window, no pets, maximum 2 persons.
Please tidy and roughly clean the flat when you leave. Please leave the towels and bed linen, which are fresh at the beginning, as they are.
The flat has excellent technical equipment. On arrival you will find instructions on most of the technical equipment and tips on good food and the surrounding area.
We only rent out our son's flat in the centre of Munich in the summer, as he is travelling.
