Perched at the very top of Lake Leelanau on 125 feet of private lake frontage, Long Dock Beach is, without a doubt, the best spot on the lake. With gorgeous views south down Lake Leelanau, the property has sun all day, enabling you to enjoy the lake from sunrise until sunset. A sandy beach, private dock, mooring buoy, sandy lake bottom, and clear water make this property exceptional. This home has been immaculately maintained to keep its cottage charm, while still having all of the modern day comforts and plenty of room for large groups. There are 3 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms (1 king bedroom with en suite bathroom, 2 queen bedrooms, 4 twin bunk beds) as well as a queen pull out sofa.
The living space is bright and open with stunning lake views from every room. The kitchen, dining room and family room create a large space for groups to spread out but still feel connected. The family room has a smart TV and plenty of room for the entire family. The sun room is just off the dining room and, with a pull out sofa and additional seating, it's another great sleep/play/lounge space. The well-stocked kitchen includes a dishwasher and extra-large refrigerator and freezer units. The mudroom has a washer/dryer and just outside on the deck is a handy outdoor hot/cold shower (great for sandy kids and feet!). This home has WIFI, central air conditioning, updated appliances, wood flooring throughout, and is pet free.
There are two main decks, surrounded by mature trees and landscaping, which showcase the amazing lake views. Adirondack chairs, lounge chairs, outdoor dining table, grill and fire pit make the outdoor space enjoyable all day long. Water sports equipment included - 1 kayak, 2 paddle boards, floaties, kids sand toys, and life jackets. Public boat launch is .5 miles away, and many of the local water sports rental companies will deliver a rental boat to the property.
This property is spectacular. From morning coffee on the deck to boating, playing in the sand, sunset swims and evening bonfires (with s'mores, of course!), this property is perfect for your vacation. This is the only private rental property on the north end of the lake with direct lake access and views.
The home is located 5 miles north of the charming town of Leland, where you will enjoy historic Fishtown, and many restaurants and boutiques. The surrounding area is home to many wineries, breweries, farms and galleries as well. Short drive to Northport, Suttons Bay, and the town of Lake Leelanau, and 40 minutes from Traverse City.
This home is available year round. Summer rentals are weekly Sunday to Sunday. There is a 3-night minimum the rest of the year.
