These homes are owned by two best friends who share a love for weekend getaways! A lot of thought and a whole lot of love went into designing and furnishing this property! This location sealed the deal for us! This home is within walking distance to the lakes edge and about 1 mile to Sugarloaf boat dock. Morning or evening fishing is one of our families favorite things to do while visiting the home!
The main home 'The Sugar House' named after nearby Sugarloaf, is a spacious 3/2 with an open concept great room and kitchen. This house is perfect for entertaining and gathering with family and friends. The kitchen is equipped for cooking up a great meal and there is plenty of seating to eat! This home has a dining room table with seating for 7, a breakfast bar with 5 seats, and an additional dining area with seating for 4! There are a total of 4 beds in The Sugar House. A California King in the master suite, a double as well as (the kids favorite) the TRIPLE bunk in the guest room, and downstairs a twin daybed with pull out trundle bed. In edition to these beds we have a custom build corner daybed that is completely surrounded b windows making it perfect for those afternoon naps, or even for sleeping with a view of the stars. All of our bedding is high quality, we always have plenty of pillows and blankets on hand! Again, we like things cozy! Downstairs we have a game/TV room that the kids love, complete with neon lighting! You will find a lot of attention to detail when staying in ur property. The lighting is unique and beautiful.
The Guest house 'The Sister Loft' is designed with the same high standard as the Sugar House. This home has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room, and a kitchen. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed with plenty of blankets and pillows. The kitchen is smaller but fully stocked with everything you need! The bathroom has been updated and has a modern feel. This house has its own path and entrance to the back gate which leads to the path to the lake.
Our property is located in Lakehead California. Though you feel the quiet relaxation of being far into the woods, you also have the convenience of benignly about 3 miles from our I5 exit! All within about 3 miles we have a local grocery store, 2 convince stores/gas stations, and several options for dining. Our FAVORITE being The Basshole who serves the famous local reuben and has an awesome breakfast/brunch!
There are so many things to do at and around Shasta Lake! There is unlimited hiking and fishing! We are lucky to be s close to Sugarloaf which is perfect for dropping your boat into the water for the day!
Another favorite would be a visit to nearby Shasta Caverns.
Dunsmuir is a close 20 minute drive North and is a quant historic town famous for their spring drinking water! They also have a few awesome restaurants including Dunsmuir Brewery.
Another few miles North of Dunsmuir is Mt.Shasta! Perfect place for Skiing and Snowboarding! Mt Shasta is also a fun small town to visit with SO many good places to eat. If you like Italian Mike and Tony's is a favorite in our family!
Lastly, Redding is about a 25 minute drive South. Redding is the largest nearby City where you will find the big box stores, shopping, and lots of restaurant options.
