Summary: Our stay at the Savoy did not live up to expectations. Given its high rating and 5-star status, we anticipated a seamless, high-class experience, but instead found ourselves constantly being asked to pay extra for basic amenities — €70 per bed to lie by the pool, €35 per person to use the sauna, breakfast not included, and so on. The food was well below standard: dry, lacking flavour, and served with underwhelming service in the restaurants. The building itself is undeniably beautiful, but overall, the experience felt far from the premium quality we expected from such a renowned hotel. We left feeling disappointed rather than indulged.
