The living area features spacious two story high vaulted ceilings. During the off season, the living area is a wonderful place to enjoy the gas fireplace. A large third floor den is perfect for socializing or escaping with that perfect book, watching TV, or try testing your skills at shuffleboard. Summary: The property was very pretty, and being on the canal was a plus. We definitely didn't know linens were not included until right before we arrived. I'm not one to complain much, especially on vacation, but managing 9 people, and the first night, the oven doesn't work. And the second day, the repair man just walks into the house, unannounced and without warning to check to see if the foul odor was gone from the washing machine (we had not called this in and were a bit startled, considering we had small children around). And that's when the oven issue was brought to his attention, and then I had to call and place a work order in for him to come back and fix it. Like I said, the place was lovely, but we felt we spent a good deal of money to accommodate quite a few people and it was a bit of a bummer. We'll stay elsewhere if we vacation on the island again.
