4 Bedroom House with TV, Private Pool and Bedding
A beautiful adobe ranch style home of almost 4000 square feet, that rest on almost 22 peaceful acres. This wonderful property was built by renowned businessman, the late Kjell Qvale and his family for their horse operation. There are full horse facilities, complete with stables, barn, tack rooms, round pen, and horse pens. Currently there are no horses on the property. Drive up the drive, and stop under the portico, and come on into your vacation home! Built for entertaining. Take in the 25 foot beam and wood ceilings, opening to a wall of glass that beckon you outside to the pool, spa, and tennis court. A huge 6'x4' raised fireplace resting on a 17' long custom hearth with mantle. Well appointed approximately 14' long "Sports" bar at one end, and a wet bar at the opposing end of the true great room! Big screen TV's adorn both ends of this antique filled mid-century flavored ranch. Think, style, comfort, fun, and fabulous.
This warm, entertaining, and yet, comfortable home would make the Ponderosa blush, with its 9' pool table, poker/blackjack board, chess, dominoes, monopoly, games for the young and the young at heart. Video collection, music, and more. The pool and spa are fenced, with the tennis court close by.
There are four bedrooms, all en-suite. Two of the bedrooms are wonderful "Super Suites", one with two true his and her separate mid-century full baths. The house sleeps 11.
PLEASE NOTE: As of 9/10/2021 two (2) air mattresses available to complete the total number of beds.
The custom kitchen affords an over 9' long center isle, along with another 8' long bar area that opens to the great room. This bar, the sports bar, and the pool table, are great for family gatherings. The mostly stainless steel appliances include a triple sink, dishwasher, micro wave, and double door refrigerator. There is a double oven for all your baking needs and an electric cook top with stainless Jen-air exhaust fan over head. You will love the endless counter space to prepare that intimate dinner for two, or a feast to feed all who come. The house is all electric, that also has a utility room with washer and electric dryer for your laundry needs.
Other than the ceramic tile in the kitchen and one of the super suite's baths, there is Saltillo paver tiled flooring throughout.
Downtown San Diego and its beaches are over an hours drive, ditto that for Palm Springs. The Borrego Valley Airport is close by. The wonderful Christmas Circle is just down the street. There are several wineries close by within Temecula wine country. Enjoy golfing, climbing, off road driving, cycling, horseback riding, walking trails, hiking, star gazing, and all the beauty of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, considered one of the largest state parks in America. Remember, our "dark sky community", offers no city light pollution, for all to take in the brilliant stars at night.
Riviera Farms is approximately a half mile from the beautiful De Anza Country Club, which has now been opened to the public, for the first time in its fabulous history. You can walk to the country club, enjoy, and saunter back to your own private Shan-gri-la!

At this time, our pool and spa is not heated, unless you request it . There is an extra charge for connecting and disconnecting the hook up, plus you pay for the amount of fuel used. Guest to contact owner by text message directly. There is usually a delivery period needed by the propane provider, so check with owner (via text message).
Our home is NOT the most modern or most upgraded property around. Riviera Farms is a large, warm, inviting place, with room and space for both large and small groups. It is far from perfect, yet clean and fun! It is a home, not a hotel! Please respect it as a home!
Please Note: Our property on Borrego Springs Rd, like much of Borrego Springs, does get dust that blows around the home, that can and does seep into the house, and get into the pool,. We try and control the dust as much as we can. It's impossible to keep all dust out of our home, and the pool. Our property does have professional services to clean both the home and the pool.
Please note: As stated, our home is a NONSMOKING FACILITY, INSIDE AND OUT! Breaking this rule, or any other rule, is cause for you to forfeit your entire $400 deposit, at the owner's discretion of the violation!!! No firearms, bow and arrows, or hunting is allowed. No filming, video, or photography for ANY commercial or promotional purposes are allowed without the expressed and written consent of the owners.
