Gorgeous, Front Row, vacation rental is truly RIGHT ON THE BEACH, thus the name: "RightOnTheBeachVR." The backyard of this beach house is literally the beach!
Best Location in Galveston: family-friendly Jamaica Beach. The beach is literally just steps from the rear of this amazing home! Sit on one of the huge decks and watch the kids play on the beach.

This large, 2,100 sf home is unique because it’s all on 1 level. And it’s located on a large lot (1/3rd acre), so there is lots of room for the kids to play outside while you enjoy privacy, space, & unobstructed Gulf of America views.
The massive decks, which extend all around this house, are huge: over 1,300 sf of total deck area (with plenty of shaded areas) - so all can enjoy. The main level, rear deck is very spacious: over 50 ft long & 12 ft deep. That’s 600 sq ft! And there’s plenty of shade. Also it couldn’t be any closer to the soothing Gulf waters. Plus there's a large upper "Captain's Deck" above the home with incredible, unobstructed ocean views.
Sleeps 14 (3 kings, 2 Fulls & 6 Twin beds). There are 5 bedrooms & 2.5 bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms are very large.
All beds are have newer, high quality mattresses.
This home is located in beautiful and family-friendly Jamaica Beach. You can't beat the location - just 10 mins from Galveston attractions, but in quiet, fun, safe, Jamaica Beach. Plus, this beach house sits on one of the rare, premier lots in all of JamaicaBeach.

The home’s interior has been fully remodeled. The decks & ungraded hurricane windows were upgraded as well.
Full washer & dryer in the laundry room.
New tankless hot water system.
There are 2 separate Air Conditioning systems. One new as of April 2025 and the other Jan 2023.
Downstairs, additional outdoor hot & cold shower and stall for rinsing after returning from the beach.
Perfect for multiple families.
Well-equipped kitchen.
We supply beach towels as well as towels for showering. And we typically have a couple of Boogy-Boards and 4 beach chairs available. Plastic toys for the little ones are almost always available.
There's a BBQ grill for outdoor grilling (bring your own charcoal). Please discard your unused charcoals in the trash once they cool so that the grill is ready for the next guests. And pls don't throw your used charcoals in the yard (yup, more than 1 guest has done that).
Also, you do not need a golf cart as you are literally only about 20 steps to the beach.
In addition, Jamaica Beach Police frequently patrol the beach, so the beach area is always family-friendly and fun.
The owners have made numerous improvements, including premium vinyl plank flooring; new decks and handrailings; new fascia and soffits; new hurricane windows; new tankless hot water system; new solid core, 5 panel doors; new paint in & out; new textured granite (with a gorgeous peninsula slab); new big screen HD TV (with premium cable/Netflix/Amazon/Xbox One S w/ plenty of games for the kids and teens); Televisions in all 5 bedrooms; imported teak dining table & teak chairs; new lighting; new linens and towels; all premium bedding; fully stocked kitchen; and more.
High speed WiFi /Internet.
Small pets are welcome (under 30 lbs) with an additional, nonrefundable pet fee of $100 per pet. No large pets please.

Summary: The listing said 4 bathrooms which was one of the major reasons we chose it. However, it has a full bath, a 3/4 bath, and a 1/2 bath, plus a beach shower downstairs; so not 4 baths. Happily, it turned out to be a non- issue for us. You cannot beat the location. Just steps away from the water!!! Unspoilt and not crowded. We were there 4/5-11, a TX spring with cool nights and 70 degree days. Spent most of our time outdoors on the spacious, sheltered deck, while watching the kids play in the sand and water. Just 10 miles to town and the big supermarket, but with a small grocery just 3 minutes away. TVs in every room practically, all flat screens with strong WiFi for streaming and devices. Spacious, well-appointed kitchen, well supplied with small appliances and dishes. We lacked for nothing there. We did use the washer/dryer but did not get a chance to try the BBQ. We much appreciated the hot water beach shower to take the sand and salt off, and so not trek any of that indoors. Ample supply of beach towels and bathroom ones, too. Comfy beds for restful nights. The kids loved their bunk beds and the separating pocket door for privacy — so important at their ages. The Nintendo was a source of delight for them. We toured a couple of the Galveston museums: the Oil Rig and Seawolf Park for the WWII submarine and ship. Then there was NASA just 35 minutes away. We did not get text replies from our host, but email gets a quick answer. We did not try calling. Book this one!!!
