Cabin retreat in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The welcoming nature is felt on arrival - the beautiful fireplace, the skylight windows, the exposed beams, and many small details that will draw you into your vacation home. The cabin sits on a private lake with over 9 miles of trails on the property for you to explore. This spacious cabin sleeps up to 8 people and would be a perfect family getaway. Whether you want to relax, unplug, and rejuvenate or if you want a day full of adventure!
The space
Winkler Garden’s sits on 1500 private acres nestled in the foothills right alongside the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin has 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.
Outside, there is a fully covered porch with plenty of rocking chairs and a large covered patio with a dining table perfect for hosting outdoor meals. Guests will also have access to the private 8 acre lake where they can enjoy activities such as fishing, swimming, and kayaking. Guests are welcome to use our kayaks, or flat bottom boat.
There is 1 queen bedroom (equipped with a crib), and 3 king bedrooms giving plenty of room for families with kids to enjoy each other all while having their own space. Each bedroom is equipped with their own private bathroom.
The kitchen is well equipped and includes a coffee bar with a coffee pot, and Keurig. Coffee and tea will be provided as well.
Appreciate the seclusion of the property but also enjoy the convenience of a quick drive to popular cafe/bars, breweries, trails and more! Located only 15 minutes from West Jefferson, you will have quick access to a number of great restaurants, breweries, wine tastings, cheese tastings, shopping, local art, and more!
Linens, towels, and toiletries are provided. The house also has basic equipment for children including a baby cot, high chair, toys, sippy cups, etc.
We are happy to share our space with people who want to use it as a retreat to enjoy quality time with friends and family. Please note this is not a party rental. Firearms and fireworks are strictly prohibited on the property.
Please also note that this is a remote location with lots of wildlife, creatures big and small frequent the property.
