Positive: The space was spacious and accommodating for our family of 15. We enjoyed having access to the community pool. The views from the porch were beautiful and access to the area was an easy drive.
Negative: It appears that the pictures in the rental ad were quite old, as the apartment was not as clean and new as pictured. These are just some of the issues we encountered: Porch furniture is old, falling apart, flat cushions, no directions for the hot tub, curtain rod in living room is loose, front porch light out, bar stool missing screw so base fell apart. The stair carpets are dirty, the general appearance is very worn, beds uncomfortable as mattresses and pillows are too soft and flat (used beyond their life!). Front door latch had screws loose. One of the bathrooms had a filthy rug and dirty toilet. For the kitchen there were no dish towels or cloths, no hot pads, not enough flatware (spoons and forks) for the number of people, no regular glassware for water or other beverages, just a few plastic cups and wine glasses. The large coffee maker did not work, but there was a small 4 cup one that did work. The oven and draw below it were filthy! My one contact with Jason was to request a code for the pool, as the ones sent to use did not work, and asked for more garbage bags and dish soap. He quickly sent the code but did not deliver any dish soap or garbage bags. We did leave a detailed note for the cleaning crew, so I hope that the next guests have a cleaner experience! One other huge piece was the difficulty in using the patio door off of the main living room--it did not easily open, and the track was filled with gunk! It took adult two handed strength to open it enough to slide through the opening! As an added note, it turns out that the area does not recycle any cans or bottles, so I encourage any future guests to bring garbage bags to corral their recyclables to take home with them!
Summary: We loved the family time, but will do a lot more research before using booking.com again.
