This secluded, custom, riverfront cabin sits on a full wooded acre with private access to the Washougal River. Inside, you'll find a well-equipped kitchenette with everything you might need to prepare anything from quick snacks to full-course dinners. Dine together at the adjacent table, and then lounge by the efficient woodstove and watch something on the TV in the cozy living area. Outside, there's a deck overlooking the old fir forest as well as an upper-level balcony off the primary bedroom with a hammock, perfect for afternoon naps. And for the ultimate relaxation, enjoy a soak in the private hot tub.
This home is located just 40 miles northeast of Portland and 12 miles from downtown Washougal. The surrounding forest is filled with native northwestern plants and old-growth trees, some more than 300 years old. Many kinds of birds, ducks, geese and other wildlife also call this excellent spot home. The Washougal River itself is one of only two completely unpolluted rivers in this region. A wide variety of outdoor activities are possible here, yet the setting is secluded and free from the noise and distractions of everyday life.
