Summary: We arrived at the apartment during the evening and contacted Dirk to get access - there is ample parking and it was easy to find. Although we were tired from the travelling, there were drinks in the refrigerator that were a lovely thought. The apartment was well equipped and we took full advantage when we were cooking meals. The temperature was unseasonably hot while we were there, but the air conditioning in the apartment was welcome. Lu Lioni is a small hamlet and was quiet and the people there were friendly. There are a number of supermarkets - the Eurospin has a good selection and is less than 10 mins away. The apartment is ideally placed for access to the main roads for trips across Sardinia and is only 25 minutes from Olbia airport. The La Cinta beach in San Teodoro is only 5 minutes drive away - we often went on an evening to cool down after the heat of the day and to watch the sunset and horse trekkers. The pay car park there closes at 8:00 pm, but there are spaces next to the car park which are free. We travelled to a lot of places in our 2 week stay, Palau, Isola Maddalena, Olbia, San Teresa di Gallura, Tharros (there are some lovely beaches here - a nice breeze from the sea as well), Sassari and Orosei, Sardinia has so many places to see you'll need to go more than once - we intend to return in the future.
