5 Bedroom Villa with Parking, Security and Wellness Facilities

'Blue Waters' enjoys beautiful views of the sea and across to the Greek mainland. This contemporary designed villa with its open vaulted ceilings and a multitude of glass with concertina windows bringing the outside in will satisfy the most discerning of clientele. Reached by a winding road down to the villa and through electric gates, the villa is set in 4 acres of olive groves. Secluded, peaceful and enjoying total privacy, yet in reality just minutes from the sea and the picturesque village of Gastouri famous for the Achilleion Palace, local craft shops and its traditional taverna's. Corfu's Historical Old Town is also just a fifteen minute drive as is the airport and west coast of the island with its beautiful sandy beaches.
The villa is extremely spacious, with five bedrooms and five bathrooms spanning three floors. The main living floor with its vaulted ceiling and gallery is completely open-plan enjoying magnificent views of the sea and consists of a very large fully equipped kitchen with central island, lounge and dining room separated by a double sided feature fireplace. Both rooms have 4m wide glass windows overlooking the decked sunbathing area, infinity pool area and the sea beyond. The lounge has a flat screen wall mounted TV and large comfortable sofas. There is a second smaller sitting area with two glass walls opening onto the outside dining & BBQ terrace. On the top floor the Master Suite with it's Super King size Bed has a large walk in dressing room and an en-suite with a sunken jacuzzi and a large walk-in shower. With it's extra high ceilings and dual aspect balconies, the wall to wall glass doors offer magnificent views of the sea.
Across the open gallery overlooking the lounge and pool below is the second bedroom with a king size bed, en-suite bathroom, large veranda and views of the sea.
There are a further three bedrooms downstairs. A super large bedroom with en-suite shower room and a Twin & King size both sharing a modern shower room with a large contemporary glass walk in shower. These three lower garden floor rooms each have sliding glass doors and views over the garden.

Summary: This villa is everything the pictures make it out to look like. It was spacious and comfortable. My extended family of 8 slept comfortably in all the rooms with beds to spare. The pool was excellent and provided hours of swimming fun and as a backdrop for many instagram photoshoots! The kitchen was large and the private chef we hired had no complaints about the facilities. The only cons about the villa are a minor one and a major one. Minor - The internet was slow and there is very spotty mobile phone signal. This was not that serious of a drawback as it allowed for all of us to disconnect from our devices. I would say though if travelling with children make sure you pack cards, board games or any activities. Major - Renting a car is absolutely mandatory for this villa. The roads are very poorly constructed and extremely narrow leading up to the villa. I had hired a minibus to take my family of 8 on daily excursions and after the first day the minibus driver stated she couldn't come back as the road was too treacherous for her bus. The local taxis would not come pick us up to go to the town so unless we walked the 1 mile to town in the scorching August heat we were effectively stranded in the villa. On our departure day the minibus that came to collect us could not drive into the villa do to the narrow roads so we all had to walk up the steep road in the heat to the minibus. Thankfully, the pool staff were on hand to drive my parents who are in their 70s up the road and to ferry our luggage. If they weren't there I can't imagine how we would have managed. All in all we had a great week, but if we had known beforehand about the difficulties to accessing the villa we would have made preparations.
