Positive: The proximity to the beach
Negative: There wasn’t a lot of clear instruction on how to enter the gated community. We had to go around multiple times and explain to multiple people where we were staying before we could enter. Parking is outside of the gated community, quite far, and very inconvenient. Amenities were very basic and some (e.g. soap in bathrooms) were altogether lacking. Balcony rail is falling apart and quite dangerous if children are present as the bars push out. Tons of mosquitos and insects and no screens on windows. All mosquito lamps were empty and citronella candle unusable because the weren’t matches or lighters available. Owners showed up at 10:58 AM and stared us down as we were packing our car and lugging our children out of the apt. They barely said a word but just stared at us with their cleaning supplies until we left (we were already packing the car - just lugging luggage and two young children down two flights of stairs). It was unnecessary and quite rude and uncomfortable. For context, we were out by 11:05 AM and checkout is between 8 AM and 11 AM. We would’ve packed the car the evening before if it wasn’t inconvenient to bring the car into the gated community in the evenings.
Summary: Not a valuable option despite the nice view.
