Summary: The pluses to the property; location and sleeping areas. The beds were comfortable and had the layout that we needed for adult children and spouses. However, the house was dirty. The lawn was not mowed, outside garbage cans overflowing and no where to put the garbage from inside the house when we left. The front entrance had just had new cement walkway and was caution taped off. The basement entrance was unlocked and the door handle fell off in our hand. My husband bought a set of tools and fixed it so we wouldn’t have anymore issues. There was painters tape in many places and half painted areas throughout the house. There was a missing threshold between one of the bedrooms that had exposed carpet tack strips. Understandably, it looked like they may be trying to fix the place up. We can accept that to a degree. Outlets hanging out of the wall not acceptable. It was a very dirty home. The ceiling fans and air vents are covered in dust that is just hanging. However, the stick on breast covers that were stuck to the closet doors in the downstairs bedroom were the final straw. Very disgusting. We were not able to get in touch with host contact after finding all of these issues. Her phone went to voicemail with a full inbox. We have never had to leave a bad review when renting. This one warranted it unfortunately! Hopefully, they can turn it around and hire some decent cleaning people and be better with this property.
