Relax with family or friends at my elegant and peaceful apartment. Sleeping up to 8 people, with three double bedrooms (plus sofa bed) and two bathrooms.
Forming part of a historic conversion, with a grand front entrance, and private south facing garden backing on to quiet park.
Located in the popular neighbourhood of Heworth, allowing easy access to the city centre, or further afield to explore Yorkshire! Vanguarde and Monks Cross Shopping Centers are less than 10 minutes drive away.
The layout is on one level on the ground floor, with a few steps leading up to the apartment. Our grand entrance is private, and was the original entrance for the Yearsley Bridge Fever Hospital complex. The Hospital was closed in 1976 when the city’s new District Hospital, and eventually was converted to 9 apartments. Our property maintains many of the period features such as the large windows and high ceilings which bring in lots of natural light into the living areas and master bedroom.
Our open plan kitchen living area is set out in an unconventional L-shape. The living room consists of 2 large sofas, one which folds out into a double sofa bed. The Roku TV enables streaming services, Sky Sports and entertainment. (Applications for you to sign into your own Netflix, Disney etc.)
The property has been decorated to our tastes, with my wife, Phoebe, scouring the UK for unique pieces. Everything has been specially selected from the Harris Tweed sofa to the early 20th century watercolors inherited from family. We hope you enjoy your time here as much as we do.
In the kitchen, appliances include use of a large fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, electric oven, hob, microwave, kettle and toaster. For coffee lovers, there's a Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee machine with a selection coffee pods. There'll also be a complimentary welcome pack of tea, sugar and biscuits. We've got it kitted out for home cooking. The large dining table and benches are perfect for socializing and dining.
Leading off the living area are two bedrooms and an inner hallway which leads to the bathroom and third double bedroom. The master bedroom consists of a king size wooden sleigh bed, double wardrobe and armchair. There is an ensuite shower room attached. The second bedroom contains a double bed and double wardrobe. The third bedroom has a double bed, chest of drawers and vanity area.
Guests will have access to the entire apartment.

The local community-based team of Pass the Keys® personally inspects the property and certifies the home has met Pass the Keys®’s Property Readiness Standard.
CHECK IN / CHECK OUT:
Check-in time is after 4pm and check-out time is before 10am. A £30 charge will be requested if guests check themselves in early without permission or if guests do not check out on time as this will cause disruption to my cleaner’s schedule.
Please note that you will be charged £100 for lost keys, so please be careful with them.
PARKING: There is space for 1 car only to the rear left as you enter. Other spaces may appear free but belong to neighbors. There is free on street parking near St Wulstan's Church for additional cars however I can't guarantee there will be spaces.
Please request a PDF to be emailed over if you are using parking - this document will direct you in advance of your arrival to where you need to park. Please remember to include your email address that we can send the PDF to you.
FAMILY FACILITIES: A highchair and travel cot are provided. Guests are welcome to make use of the additional facilities however we politely ask that the travel cot is packed down and then returned back to its original place of storage before you check out. Don’t forget to bring your own cot bedding. Please make sure the highchair is wiped down after use. Thank you.
