Summary: The house was reasonably clean, updated with new appliances, and was in a convenient location with ample restaurants and shopping nearby. The hosts accommodated our well trained dog and we found it easy to walk her around the neighborhood. The kitchen was very well equipped, but we would have liked a full sized coffee pot. We found a number of maintenance issues with the home (clogged drains in shower and hall baths, numerous outlets not working, and broken exhaust fans in both bathrooms). In fairness to the hosts, we didn’t notify them of issues until after we departed as we didn’t want workers trapsing through the house while we were working during the day. The pictures in the listing accurately reflect the home. While it was nicely decorated we found most of the furniture to be somewhat uncomfortable (more style over function). We worked at the home during the day and found the neighbors to be very distracting, even playing loud music late nights. Had we stayed only a few days we probably would have given them a better rating, but after staying for 3 weeks, it was difficult for us to work and sleep. We didn’t use the pool as it wasn’t heated and was too cold to swim. The lanai had tears in the screens which let bugs in, so we didn’t sit outside much. With some of the maintenance items addressed and more comfortable furnishings, this could be a nice place for longer stays.
