4 Bedroom House with TV, Internet and Kitchen

Built in 1967 from local Ocala block, The Diana House has been lovingly updated whilst retaining the MCM vibes of its fabulous vintage past. A columned breezeway and double entry doors lead to a huge living room with a wall of sliding glass doors opening onto the central courtyard. There's a formal dining table for 10-12, an extra long sleeper sofa (a vintage Castro convertible) and a large 65" TV.
Two steps up is the colorful, central kitchen with an oversized induction cooktop, a separate dining area for 6, all manner of kitchen equipment and some cooking basics like condiments, tea, coffee, herbs and spices.
The main bedroom is spacious and serene with a king bed, private spa like bathroom with sunken shower and an attached yoga room or work retreat with its own entrance and access to the pool.
The guest bedroom is light and bright with 2 double beds, 2 spacious closets and a view of the oak shaded grounds.
The third sleeping space in the library is more subdued and cozy with original wood paneling and accordion wall, a double bed and lots of books.
We provide board games, a guitar and wifi for indoor entertainment. Outside in warm months you can swim in our unheated pool, in cooler months cozy up with a fire in the courtyard fireplace or hang out and play foosball and air hockey in the carport or yard games on the lawn.
For groups larger than 8, we include our studio apartment at $50 per person per night. It is also available for smaller groups who want extra space and sleeps 4 guests with a queen bed, futon, a bathroom and kitchenette, a TV and private entrance and deck.
The whole house and grounds are available for your use including the courtyard and pool. We have a camper van and pole barn on the property which are not included and reserved for owners use.
Also, we celebrate vintage! So there are signs of loving wear and patina. And we are in hot, humid and buggy Florida so there may also be signs of wildlife, inside and out. Lastly, with the pool, steps and hard surfaces, it is not a great choice for toddlers.

Summary: The house is exquisite! Chloe put her heart and soul into expertly curating this stunning mid-century modern house with beautiful details, historical accuracy and lots of love! I’ve stayed in a few different short term rentals and there is a special touch when you rent directly from the owner vs. a management company and the owner puts her heart and soul into the property. The house was was immaculate upon arrival. Not a speck of dirt in sight! The bed in the master bedroom is sooooo comfy. The house is staged for when you arrive with toiletries and little odds and ends you may have forgotten at home (including a personal note from Chloe, treats in the fridge and freezer, etc). There’s spices incase you plan to cook (which we did) and supplies you can use like flour, sugar, artisanal coffee etc. We brought our own but Chloe is so thoughtful to think of things like that. There’s even a cabinet with games which my kids enjoyed playing as I prepared supper. We also enjoying grilling hamburgers in the backyard one evening as the kids enjoyed the pool. Chloe is an A+ hostess (super accommodating and responsive and she went ABOVE and BEYOND in every way) and the home is an A+ property. It was a perfect choice for our weekend away from home af the end of the summer before my oldest went back to college and we wanted to spend time as a family. If you’re thinking of booking this property, you’ll have an awesome stay with an awesome host taking care of all the details you need so the house will be comfortable and inviting.
