Positive: The house is beautiful, plenty of space and crockery, glasses etc.. easy parking outside and good location for the beach, local towns, wineries.
Negative: The outside space is limited, only 2 sun loungers and we had to fix one of them. Comfy seating only accommodates 4 people and the table is for 10 - the property sleeps 12 so this doesn’t seem appropriate. The pool is only in sun for a couple of hours in the middle of the day (which we probably should have realised given the courtyard garden) this isn’t ideal and the water remained very cold. There is no aircon in the house. There are upright fans in the bedrooms but I don’t think they should be described as air conditioning - this was one of selling points for us and so was a bit of a disappointment, especially as not all of the sockets worked in the bedrooms and it restricted where we could plug the fans in. Only 2 bathrooms and the only shower is in the en-suite one - we were a party of 6 and this was ok but I can’t see how a party of 12 would find it comfortable. We didn’t use the master bedroom in the end, so as to avoid having to go through someone else’s bedroom to use the shower. No welcome pack or local information provided. For the cost we’d normally expect a little something. We found out as we were leaving that the next village had had a celebration on all weekend which we would have loved to go to had we known. We were also surrounded by local wineries but again no info on any of them, recommendations, opening times etc… no local restaurant info or bakeries. Generally, all a bit lacking for the cost of the property.
Summary: Lovely house interior and good location but not worth the price paid
