Positive: The place was very clean and we had everything we needed. The sun shades everywhere made the morning hours pleasant. The owners tried their best to make us feel welcome, though the communication upon our arrival was not easy since we don't speak Italian. We could park the car under trees within the private living area. Covered parking garage in Palermo's center is recommended, though NOT secure. It's still better than street parking due to theft danger. Relatively cheap rent and very cheap food in Sicily anywhere you go.
Negative: The area was quite horrible. Too far from the city, nowhere to walk around and almost impossible to eat. The apartment had some flaws. Unfortunately, the refrigerator was barely functioning. The beverages would never get chilled. Most uncomfortable was the miniscule bath cabin, where even a small person had trouble bending (I am 170cm), and there was no shelf to put cosmetics, but on the floor in the water. We had to buy our own garbage bags. The highly recommended Parc with the Villa next door was, in fact, a private facility that didn't offer ANY of the promised activities - neither from our host nor the praised Villa's webpage. It was permanently closed, the restaurant included, and there were very few options to eat in the neighborhood. We were't told that in the siesta hours, you couldn't get served food but ordered or McDonald's. Above all this, it is unadvisable to be without a car. Public transport is problematic, and the only bus lines that worked for us operate until around 9 pm. Afterward, there should be a night bus every hour, but we never even tried it. The beach nearby...If you want to bathe in peace without a crowd and a red flag on 2cm waves, you should drive at least 45 km up west and search for wild beaches. Always carry enough water and food. And beware that your navigation doesn't know how to tackle the impossible route system either. There are NO RULES on the street but one - to survive. And beware of scooters and motorbikes at ALL TIMES.
