Located in a prime position, within the gated, luxury enclave of Pauoa Beach, in the Big Island’s Mauna Lani Resort, the Pauoa Beach Oceanfront Villa delivers a 5-star vacation rental experience. Travelers seeking elegant surroundings, access to private Club amenities, and easy access to one of the Kona Coast’s best beaches will fall in love with this home.
The four-bedroom, 5,000 sq. ft. villa is designed to offer guests ocean views from multiple vantage points. Boasting stately, tropical elegance, the villa is nestled within the landscape in a manner that provides privacy without obstructing the views.
Seen from above, one can appreciate the elegant footprint of the home, with a formal entrance that opens onto a lush Zen courtyard and the main home’s living spaces.
Inside, Pauoa Beach Oceanfront Villa is designed for easy, Hawaiian-style indoor-outdoor living; The main interior living spaces connect via folding pocket doors to the expansive covered lanai found at the rear of the home. This design allows the fresh ocean breezes to flow through the home and provides an ideal setting for sunset soirees.
The lanai welcomes you with a large, naturalist infinity-edge pool looking out towards the private members club and Fairmont Orchid beach just beyond.
Pauoa Beach Oceanfront Villa uses blue and white throughout. Combined with the warm hardwoods and earth-tone floors, the atmosphere is both welcoming and stately.
The chef’s kitchen is ready for meal prep, with ample work surfaces and updated appliances seamlessly integrated into the design. A dining table in the great room accommodates 10, and a large sitting area just beyond is a perfect space for pre-meal socializing.
Dining outside under the covered lanai is always an option. The lanai boasts its own kitchen, fridge, and grill, allowing for easy meal prep by the pool. The lanai’s bar area is a popular place to gather before and after meals!
Ample seating completes the outdoor dining and entertainment space, allowing for pleasant meals surrounded by the sounds of birdsong and the warm trades rustling through the palms.
The villa has four bedrooms, each with a private entrance. The master bedroom is a quiet retreat, with pocket doors that one may open to feel connected to the manicured landscape outside. The bedroom features a four-poster bed and an en-suite bath. With the doors open, guests feel as if they are sleeping just off the beach, with the sands and ocean beyond the edge of the club.
The three additional bedrooms each boast separate entrances, king-size beds, and en-suite baths. They feature the same tasteful color palette of muted blues and warm woods. Again, each room has direct access to the gorgeous landscape via a sliding door.
Outside, the landscaping incorporates a Japanese Zen design element, as a large tub collects water through from a small spout.. In addition, outdoor showers provide an intimate and private way to connect with the natural environment.
Pauoa Beach Oceanfront Villa is located within walking distance to the beach. As guests of the villa, you will also have access to the exclusive member’s only Pauoa Beach Club. The Club has workout rooms, saunas, pools, and massage spaces.
Just beyond the Club is the sandy beach of the Fairmont Orchid, which offers excellent swimming and snorkeling.

Summary: What an absolutely gorgeous home and perfect gathering space for family and friends! The home is gorgeously decorated and very spacious, each bedroom is beautifully appointed and has its’ own sense of total privacy (bedrooms other than master have their own separate entrances around the courtyard), and the back patio/pool/hot tub area has numerous seating and gathering areas to enjoy time together and soak in the stunning ocean views. The larger property has a larger pool just a minute’s walk away from them home (along with gym, which though we didn’t use looked great), and another minute beyond that a beach cove for ocean swimming (shared with the Fairmont Orchid, so chairs must be rented through them - we decided to just enjoy the lovely pools at the house and on the property instead). This property provided the perfect luxurious home base for our group of 9 - though we did explore the island and do some outside activities, our favorite times were just being all together at what truly felt like a home away from home. Will absolutely be back if/when our travels bring us back to the Big Island!
