Positive: The house is newly renovated in a simple and tasteful manner. The yard looks nice. 3rd floor bedroom (with 4 single beds) and bathroom quite nice. Nice long dining room table.
Negative: (a) NO TOWELS and they want to charge €7.00/set of 2 towels (no washcloth!), which is outrageous. We could be wrong, but we don't think this cost was mentioned anywhere when we booked the place (or else in tiny print somewhere not at all obvious!), making the rent €70 more for 10 persons- not to mention you could buy towels for that price. (b) When this was mentioned to the hosts, they apologized for the misunderstanding but blamed it on booking.com, and still insisted they would charge us that same sum. (c) 3 of the bedrooms are TINY and the single+ double bed announced for each of these is only so in 1 bedroom: the other 2 have an armless settee that must open up into a single bed, but it would prevent anyone from walking around the room. You would literally have to crawl over the double bed to get to the other side if you were to fit 3 persons in these rooms. (d) The insulation between these same 3 bedrooms on the second floor is poor, so you hear everything... Ditto for the toilet and bathroom next to these bedrooms. (e) The laundry is all the way up on the 3rd floor, in the bathroom under the roof. (f) No shade anywhere in the yard- although we don't know if parasols are provided- we did not see any. (g) Tiny kitchen, only serrated knives, and other things we felt were missing. This house was obviously nicely renovated, to fit as many people as possible and quite probably for the only purpose of renting it out on booking.com or Airbnb by maximizing occupancy. We believe it is announced for more guests than it can comfortably welcome. There are, for example, only 5 persons who can sit in the sitting area.... That being said, for those who wish to pile in as many people as possible, it will do so at a reasonable cost, if you bring your own towels (which is hardly practical if you are traveling)! Seriously, who charges €7.00 just to have to wash 2 towels???
Summary: Nice house, but hidden costs and (in our view) not up to par with what it claims to offer.
