This warm and inviting 5 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom log cabin across from the lake is the perfect place for your family retreat! There is a great room on the main level with TV, a walk-out basement level family room with pool table and TV, and large deck with seating all provide plenty of spaces to relax and have fun. The dining table seats 6 and there are 3 bar stools at the kitchen island.
In the heart of the Lake Vallecito recreation area, there are unmatched mountain and waterfront views from the great room, kitchen and deck. You are a quick 5 minutes to the marina, hiking, biking and ATV trails, San Juan wilderness area at your doorstep, 1/4 mile walk to the general store. APPX 25 MILES TO DOWNTOWN DURANGO AND 50 MILES TO PURGATORY SKI RESORT.

This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay).
Parking for one vehicle in the garage. The fireplace is NOT operational. There is a candle display in the fireplace insert that can be turned on with a small remote control to create a warm atmosphere.
Due to extreme drought conditions, the outdoor fire should not be used - wild fire prevention.
In winter (November through April), 4WD is required. It is NECESSARY that you have a four-wheel-drive vehicle, vehicles with medium to high clearance and winter/snow tires. Although the roads and driveway are maintained, the driveway is steep and will be snow packed and slick.
Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.
