Positive: - The entry into the property was very easy, there is a code for the main door and for the flat door. You get this info on the day of the check-in, at 14:30. It felt safe and modern in the building. - You can tell that the building and the flats are very newly renovated, not a lot of wear and tear at all. - The flat itself was quite nice, there is a balcony with a decent view. - There is AC in both the bedroom and the living room. - The bed is on the harder side, but was comfy. - The area is very close to Monastiraki/Psyrri, which are very lively and nice areas. As I was walking from there to the flat, I felt fairly safe, but with each step farther you can tell the streets are going to be less lively/nice. - Throughout our stay, the flat was nice and quiet. We may have gotten lucky with quiet neighbours, that I'm not sure about. Also on Friday and Saturday nights the street got a slight bit rowdy outside and you could hear it inside even though all our windows were closed. We weren't too disturbed though. - Although we didn’t use the kitchen, it seemed to come fully equipped with almost everything. For people planning to cook, it would be a fully functioning kitchen probably.

Negative: - The cleanliness was good to the naked eye, but wasn't 100%. There were still some hairs caught in curtains, on the bath mat & in some corners. There were crumbs in the sofa too. - Hot water situation was a bit tricky. We were told to turn the switch on 30 mins before needing hot water, but after that it actually was great. - There is a socket right next to the shower, and it is very likely to get wet if you are not extra careful. It scared me a little, a cover is probably needed for safety. - One major surprise was the deposit. I didn’t see anything about a deposit as I was booking, but I was sent a link after booking that required either a non-refundable deposit of €32.10, or a refundable deposit of €350, assuming you didn’t damage the property. That is almost as much as what I paid for the flat, and since I booked it non-cancellable, I had to pay the deposit and hopefully I will receive it back (we just recently checked out, it is supposed to be returned within 14 days). Oh and if you didn’t pay the deposit, you didn’t receive the entry code etc. so you have to pay. It made me so paranoid that as soon as I entered the flat, I took photos of every scratch and potential issue with the flat, in case they claimed we damaged the property. - For an early check-in they ask for additional money. Because of this, we opted to go to a safe storage location instead. They don't offer luggage storage as the building is not a hotel. The management recommended a safe luggage storage app. It is very common in Athens for hotels/restaurants/shops to have a safe luggage storage option and we got to store our bags for much cheaper in one of those for a couple of hours until our check in time. - If you're expecting the flat to be a hotel-like experience, you might be a bit disappointed. I will accept that this was my own fault, but I want to warn people like me :) 2 toilet papers, 2 small hand soaps and 2 shampoo/shower gels were provided.
