Le Chai is a stylish and comfortable two bedroom stone cottage located in the main courtyard at La Cannonerie. Open plan ground floor sitting/dining room and modern kitchen. Tumbled travertine floor with stone walls makes this a stylish house for a comfortable family holiday. Upstairs their is a spacious kingsize bedroom and second bedroom with three single beds. Family bathroom with bath & separate shower. Quality bedlinen is provided and beds are made up for your arrival. Outside of the cottage there is a seating area and bbq. Please note the television is in English.
La Cannonerie was built in 1826 and incorporates parts of a medieval hunting lodge believed to have been built by Francois 1st. All of our cottages are stylish and comfortable and the perfect location to relax and enjoy a fabulous french holiday.
Located in the stunning Petite Champagne Cognac region there are no immediate neighbours and guests can relax and enjoy the large 14x6m heated swimming pool (open May - Oct) and terrace with its commanding views across vines and rolling French countryside. About an hour from the beautiful beaches of the coast and the famous islands of Re and Olereon La Cannonerie is the perfect location for day trips to either the beach or one of the many other places of interest including Bordeaux, St Emilion, Cognac, Angouleme, La Rochelle and Saintes. The English owners have an eye of design and have created modern interiors without detracting from the traditional stone exteriors. A perfect holiday destination for you to relax and unwind.
