Located in the Ringling Museum/Asolo Theater/fine arts area, this property consists of a pristine, newly renovated 3 BR, 3 BA home with heated pool PLUS a 1 BR, 1 BA cottage with full kitchen, just a five-minute walk to gorgeous Sarasota Bay, Ringling Museum, Ca'D'Zan (John Ringling Home), and the Asolo Theater. Well-appointed kitchens with granite and wood cabinets and everything needed for cooking (in both the home and cottage).

DETAILS:
This 3 BR/3 BA home has been painstakingly & lovingly renovated in a “Coastal Contemporary” theme and features a wonderful pool and is just a few minutes’ walk away from the Bay, where you may see dolphins cavorting in the water—the perfect place to fish, kayak, or to watch the sunset, or just to let your kids (or grandkids!) play on the playground situated right on the water.
Enjoy the sprawling home, which has an open, inviting floor plan with 15-feet-high ceilings and ceiling fans to keep the bay breezes flowing. There is a large living room with 50” flatscreen smart TV, a dining room and a kitchen centered in the heart of it all. Open the French doors to the pool lanai to invite the outside in, and create the perfect Florida experience of warm weather, plentiful sunlight, and your own personal oasis with a pool, outdoor shower, and seating and dining arrangements inside and out!
The master bedroom features a king-sized bed with comfortable pillow-top mattress, a large wall-mounted flat screen TV, and a large, spacious, well-appointed master bath.
The guest bedrooms have comfy queen-sized beds. The homes comfortably sleeps at least 8 people, altogether. You’ll also find a full-size washer and dryer in both homes should you need it for laundering those beach clothes!
In the screened in pool lanai, you will find a dining table and loungers for sunbathing and a grill for those evenings by the barbecue! There is also an outdoor shower, with both hot and cold water, by the pool, for washing off sand.
Two small kayaks are provided to you, along with life jackets, for exploring the Bay, with views of the historic Ca’D’Zan (John Ringling residence from the 1920s and setting for the movie Great Expectations with Ethan Hawke and Gwyneth Paltrow)! Just launch from the sandy shore at Sun Circle Park and away you go! Explore the waters of Sarasota at your leisure, and get to know the best of Florida living.

Summary: I can't say enough about the great location of this property. Very quiet street, lovely older landscaping, nice neighborhood. Super convenient to the airport (though the planes do start at 6:30AM if you're a light sleeper), and the Ringling museums with their wonderful park-like grounds. Easy walk to some cute local beaches and park. The house itself could be a five but has a few issues. The kayaks are kids toys, so if you're adults who actually kayak, bring your own or rent some. The main house smelled pretty "doggy" and that made it seem a bit unclean. We were there almost a week and the dog smell did not go away. There are some deferred maintenance issues in both the main house and guest house. The kitchen is very well equipped but it was a little weird in that the fridge, pantry and counter were loaded with food when we arrived. We were unsure what to do about this and didn't really have a place to put our food. We eventually just cleared off a shelf in the pantry and made ourselves some space in the fridge but there was a lot of produce (some of which was rotting) on the counter and we weren't sure what to do about it. The owners were very nice, and the heated pool was great (once they sent someone over to clean it as it was pretty dirty and had stuff floating in it when we got there). Despite some issues, we really enjoyed this property and highly recommend it.
