There are numerous beaches and rugged cliff tops along the coastline to explore, the vast expanse of sandy beach at Brighouse Bay is a within a short drive, or Carrick with its vast rock formations offers ideal for rock pooling opportunities. Inland is the vast expanse of the Galloway Forest Park nominated Britain's first Dark Sky Park, offering unrivalled opportunities for star gazing due to the low light pollution.
