Positive: This is a very central hotel in Abano Terme. Whilst only being 3 stars, it clearly punches above its belt, with all inclusive packages (inclusive of breakfast, lunch and dinner) that are great value. We especially liked the very hot pool outdoors (considering it was 5 degrees outside, it was heaven to rest and chat in the hot water), as well as the steam room facilities. The sauna is only open from 3pm (so you can't have a quick sauna before breakfast), but the hotel has a very generous policy of letting you use the facilities past your check out time on the day of departure. It also has its own parking, which however gets busy. This was not a problem as there was free parking available nearby, so we found a space easily. Clean rooms, good and plentiful breakfast, nice communal areas. We very much enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again.

Negative: It was a bit surprising that you would have to rent a towel and bathrobe to use the facilities, given that this is a spa hotel in a spa town. In practice you can bring your own, if you wish to avoid the rental charges, but of course that's not really convenient for anyone flying over or coming with compact luggage, or continuing to travel elsewhere afterwards. But renting was not a big problem and it was our option. The other small flaw was that the breakfast area was quite crammed and it was even difficult to find a table and move around to the buffet area. But breakfast itself was lovely and plentiful and the staff very nice and professional. We very much enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again.
