Located in a quiet and picturesque side street off the high street, here’s a stunning 1 bedroom historic Tudor cottage that’s a Grade II listed property.
For a couple seeking a romantic weekend or week-long getaway, or for working professionals who appreciate the finer things in life, this 400-year-old Tudor Rose residence offers the ideal home from home. It’s brimming with style and tradition and really is the dream location in which to spend a classic Christmas, New Year or any other holiday season.
The interior has been thoughtfully renovated to ensure it’s ready to give guests a relaxing and stress-free experience. The open plan kitchen, living room and dining area is a cosy space with a comfortable sofa and foot stool, offering a good view of both the television and the mantelpiece and fireplace.
Sharing the space is the dining table which gives you somewhere you can sit to enjoy meals and games together, and where you can get your laptops out to work if you are visiting the area on business.
At the opposite end of the room is the kitchen, equipped with all the appliances you’re likely to need - including a washer and dryer. You can stock up the cupboards and fridge freezer at the nearby local stores, and use the oven, stovetop and microwave to prepare some homestyle snacks and meals to enjoy over at the dining table.
THE BEDROOM WITH ENSUITE BATHROOM
They made staircases steep 400 years ago when this delightful house was built, so please be aware of that. At the top of those stairs, you’ll find a truly romantic and peaceful vaulted beam bedroom. Your bed is a large European double with a quality mattress and bedding ensuring you can rest and recharge ready for a new day.
The ensuite features a modern walk-in shower cubicle, wash basin and WC. Towels are provided and there’s plenty of space to store your lotions, shampoos, conditioners etc.
Your hosts are proud to make this historic cottage available for your exclusive use for however long you wish to make your reservation.
As this is a Grade II listed Tudor property, your hosts politely ask all guests to take great care of the cottage during your stay. For this reason, pets are not permitted. The cottage is not suitable for children either. Anyone with a passion for living in historic buildings is sure to be enchanted by the quality of this Tudor residence that has recently been tastefully and carefully modernized.

Driving here? Tewkesbury is not far from the M5 motorway so easy to reach by road. As the cottage is located so close to the high street, you can only park outside the cottage for a maximum of one hour during the day - plenty of time to unload your luggage and take it into the house though! Parking is free during the evenings and on Sundays. At other times, there should be spaces on nearby streets, and the Rails Meadow Car Park is a short walk away. Parking is free around the corner in East St between 5pm and 9am. There are plenty of car parks within a 5 minute walk which cost around £4 per day.
But with so much to keep you entertained within easy walking distance, you might choose to get a train and taxi here and then get around on foot during your stay. You can also use local bus and cab services to explore the local area and to reach destinations further afield, including Gloucester, Cheltenham and Winchcombe for Suedey Castle.
