Bring your shovel and sieves to sift the sand. This is your opportunity to begin exploring for Fossils along the shoreline or just collect the beautiful shells. There are over 600 species of fossils that have been discovered from the Miocene era (10-20 million years ago) at the neighboring Calvert Cliffs State Park beach. Common finds include shark teeth.
