This classic very clean cottage-on-the-lake, includes a large fully supplied kitchen, utility room with washer/dryer, living room overlooking lake, dining room, two/three bedroom and a very large family room. Huge sandy beach, crystal clear cool waters of Lake Huron just steps out the front door, even during high water levels when other communities have completely lost their beaches. Summary: I selected this home for my vacation for two reasons: location and the water views. I was looking for a place to get away for a few days with my husband and dog and ring in the new year. We walked on the beach in the morning and then at other local parks in the afternoon. This is a big home and was very comfortable. I liked the vintage touches, and we appreciated that the home had convenience comforts, like cooking utensils, pans and plastic wrap. It was lovely to sit inside the home, read, relax and watch the water. If you want a quick getaway from the Detroit area, anytime of the year, I recommend this place. The owner is super nice and easygoing.
