4bed/3bath Fully Remodeled Nautical Waterfront Home with 25' of Channel waterfront pouring into the famous Mineola Bay in Fox Lake. Located in the heart of Fox Lake and right on the Chain O Lakes. You will be in walking distance of all amenities. Home comes with a bonus apartment above the garage with bar, extra bedroom and bathroom.
Large deck with grill, hot tub (per request with $80 Fee to cover Professional Cleaning and Chemicals between guests. (Subject to winter closures if freezing air temps of icing occurs) & fire pit for the full lake house effect. Each room is Nautical themed for a perfect little get-a-way.
This 2,600 sq ft Nautical home is nested on a .5 acre of waterfront property. Its a short walk down the hill to enjoy 25' of pier waterfront. This house is minutes from all enjoyment on the famous Chain O' Lakes.
The main house is a 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom house. The deck connects the house to the Bonus Apartment, which has a 1/1, or the 4th Bedroom and 3rd bathroom.

Guests will be able to access all parts of the house, apartment, yard and garage. The only inaccessible parts of the house are the storage garage and the utility closet in the basement.
If you want to use the Hot Tub, there will be a $80 access and maintenance fee for us to open it up. Professional spa cleaning and chemicals between each use required. (Closed for month of February due to freezing temps and icing - Reopens in March)
Want some beach time? This property is in an HOA with a private beach on the Bay just a walk away. (Guest Pass required and included in your stay)
Need a boat ramp and slip for your stay? No problem, we have reserved an extra slip and ramp across the street for our guests compliments of East 92 Bar and Grill. We would not recommend any boats above 25'-26'. (Note - Its a narrow boat ramp, good enough for experienced boaters, but risky for inexperienced dockers.) There is a $50 Ramp and slip access fee for your entire stay.
To drop your watercraft, you can also use the Chain O Lakes State Park ramp, or use local marina ramps for a small fee (recommended).
There is a door camera on the main entry door for your safety and security. There is also a Decibel meter on the property to help keep noise levels under local ordinance levels and keep the neighbors happy.
Communication will be mainly through the AirBNB app, but we will also have our cell phone for Emergencies. We will be available 8am to 10pm daily.
This home has hard to get access to the Chain O' Lakes, and sits in the heart of Fox Lake within walking distance of the downtown area and other amenities for the family. Forgot something? A convenient store is right across the street. Hungry? there are 2-3 restaurants in walking distance? Want a drink? There is a bar across the street. Need some groceries? There is a dollar store and local grocery store within walking distance to the home. Everything is so convenient for you.
And Naval families, we are just a half hour from the Great Lake Naval base!
Almost everything near the Fox Lake downtown area is within a 5 minute walk, but Uber and Lyft are available for further landmarks and local favorites. Want to go downtown to Chicago? The Fox Lake Train station is 5 minutes away for a day in the city. Want to go by small boat or watercraft, you can do that too here on the Chain O' Lakes.
In the summer, there is central air condition in the main house, but the bonus room has a window air conditioner unit that does a good job keeping it as cool as you want.
Bring your fishing gear. There is good fishing in Mineola Bay and in channels. Our kids catch large bass, catfish, bluegill and perch right off our pier in the back yard.
This is a popular house for Naval families to visit and cheer on their boot camp grads since it is only a half hour from the Great Lakes Naval base.
This home is designed safe and secure, and is equipped with a Smart Dead Bolt lock that controls check in and check out times, and has a door camera feature to make sure the correct guests are entering our home. All for your safety and to protect our home.
(Winter Alert - Outdoor amenities will be limited in the winter obviously. All of the lawn furniture will have seasonal covers on them, the grill will be covered, the swing will be covered, and the hot tub will not be accessible if temps are below freezing 32 degrees, and/or there is snow and ice present on and around the hot tub. If you paid a deposit on the hot tub for your stay and temps fall below sub zero, your $80 hot tub deposit will indeed be refunded guaranteed.
